Requirements to be a
Haywood County Deputy Sheriff

A full time resident of Haywood County
Be of good moral character and reputation
Be At least 21 years of age
Be a US citizen
Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
Successfully complete Basic Law Enforcement Training
Pass a background check, physical exam, and a drug screen
Pass a writen examination and a board interview
