Community Watch

The Community Watch Program at the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office is one of the least costly and most effective crime prevention programs available.  Community Watch is simply a partnership between the residences and businesses in a neighborhood and local law enforcement.  Simply put, it is neighbors looking out for each other and being the eyes and ears of the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement agencies in the county.

If you are interested in starting a Community Watch in your community or neighborhood call the Crime Prevention Deputy at 828-452-6666.  The Crime Prevention Officer can guide you in the simple steps involved in organizing and starting an effective Community Watch.  The Crime Prevention Deputy can also provide continued support for your Watch to ensure continued success.

It all starts with one person willing to take the initiative to get the ball rolling.
