Crime Prevention Seminars

The Crime Prevention Deputy of the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office is available, upon request, to provide various seminars and programs to community groups.  Churches, seniors groups, Community Watches, Schools, and Civic Organizations regularly call upon this Deputy to educate the public on various topics of concern. 

These programs can equip the community to deal with a variety of issues including home security, domestic violence, child abuse prevention, internet safety, and identity theft. The Crime Prevention Deputy also has a variety of programs dealing with youth issues such as the choking game, drug abuse, and internet predators.

To request one of these programs call the Crime Prevention Unit at 828-452-6666.  At least two weeks notice is appreciated.  These programs are offered as a service of the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office and are free of charge to the community.
